Cascade Adventures 2004
Cascade Adventures 2004 was the inaugural Cascades Climbing DVD. The very first movie shot was Condorphamine addiction, a 5.10b multi-pitch route in the Icicle Canyon of Leavenworth, and was a collaboration between Michael and me. The Brothers Traverse documents a snowy Spring traverse between the north and south Brothers in Olympics. I spent a ton of time on the original soundtrack. Other movies weren’t quite as ambitious and mostly used classical music for the soundtracks.

Cascade Adventures 2005
Cascade Adventures 2005 follows in the tradition of the 2004 DVD, but was bigger and more technically proficient. The movies are stronger and more polished. The DVD menu system is much better too. Overall, this is my favorite DVD. The Torment Forbidden Traverse is a great mix of action and comedy. The Slesse Mountain movie is probably my favorite of all time. It’s the only other movie besides 2004’s Brothers Traverse to include an original soundtrack.
Includes:
- Colchuck Northeast Buttress
- Mount Redoubt
- The Torment Forbidden Traverse
- Slesse Northeast Buttress
- Snowking Mountain
- Sperry Peak
- Washington Pass
- Winter Flying in the Cascades
- Terror Dreams

Cascade Adventures 2006
Cascade Adventures 2006 was a long-delayed DVD mainly due to one movie: Mount Assiniboine with Fred Beckey. I was running low on free time but finally got around to producing this moving late in 2009. At nearly fifteen minutes, it’s the longest Cascade Adventures movie. Another good movie is the East Ridge of Forbidden, with plenty of shots of the 5.8 overhanging crux. This DVD is pretty heavy on Canadian climbing too.
Includes:
- East Ridge of Forbidden Peak
- Eldorado Peak
- Mount Assiniboine with Fred Beckey
- The Tooth
- Pigeon Spire
- Bugaboo Spire
- Mount Cruiser
- Summer Flying in the Cascades
- Lake Serene
Cascade Adventures 2007
Cascade Adventures 2007 is the final DVD in the series, mainly because I don’t have the time I used to and, maybe more importantly, I am living overseas. This final DVD isn’t packed as densely as content as the others but includes new locales like Canada’s Selkirk Range and the San Juan Range of Colorado.
Includes:
- Mount Sir Donald
- Vestal Peak Colorado
- Black Peak
- McClellan’s Butte
- The Enchantments
- Nooksak Falls
- Music Video with scenes from 2008
